This is an amazing show but Now for the same price I payed it’s got a remastered HD version So what did “Remastered” mean when I bought it for the same price I’m tired of these deceptions

I have never in my life watched this show in 4:3 ratio it has always been widescreen. SO WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU REMASTER TO A OUT DATED FORMAT!!! Like i said i love this show but the new format blows. Shoort the opening credits are in widescreeen.....

I’ve owned BB5 on iTunes for close to 10 years. For some unknown reason the original pilot episode is no longer part of the episodes I purchased. This isn’t COMPLETE at all. Worse you were paid and have now removed what I purchased. DO NOT TRUST APPLE. AFTER THIS I WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN FROM THEM. THERE’S ABSOLUTELY NO WAY FOR ME TO GET ACCESS TO WHAT I PURCHASED ORIGINALLY?

Babylon 5 is one of my favorite all time shows. I rewatch every couple of years and was excited by the prospect of the remaster having seen a couple of fans create high resoltuion samples of the show. Unfortunately, this remaster does not even get close to that mark. A truly missed opportunity.

Excited to see B-5 cleaned up. The picture quality is great, considering the age and source material. I have always loved this series.

I bought the individual seasons several years ago, and the picture was OK. When I found out about this new high def version today I looked it up and purchased it. When I first started playing it the picture was terrible.I thought that may be my Apple TV was confused and kept grabbing the old episodes, because when I hit the menu button the season one home screen would pop up instead of the new HD home screen. When I resumed watching however the picture began to improve, as though the Apple TV or the TV were figuring out the proper settings. Now it has settled down and the picture is great. I’m very pleased.
  • Great show, bad conversion

The show remains excellent, some of the best sci-fi storytelling ever. Unfortunately it appears that whoever did the remastering, which improved the detail and color, converted the frame rate from the original 29.98fps to 23.98fps, so there are frame drops. These are especially noticeable as judder in the more rapid-motion CGI sequences. This release is far better than the DVDs, which mangled the CGI, but it was stupid to cheap-out on the conversion this way.
