Great show, up there with Superman The Animated Series. The creative team was smart enough to not completely pull apart the Superman mythos, but enough of a reinterpretation that it doesn’t feel repetitive.

It looks silly in the previews but it’s a lot better than I thought. Great cast and story.

It’s hard to judge an entire season on just two episodes, but these have been technically good, with largely decent to good voice work from all the major players and some really good character development. It has also featured far more action that people probably expected.

My Adventures with Superman brings together aspects of anime, traditional animation, and comics in a bright retelling of the Superman mythos. So far, there seems to be a healthy balance of Clark Kent and his alter ego - something missing in recent iterations of the character. And the dynamic between Clark, Lois, and Jimmy is great right off the bat. They appear to be making a few changes to his Kryptonian heritage just enough to keep things interesting. Looking forward to how the rest of the season plays out!
