This is a remake of an earlier film (Here Comes Mister Jordan) and was followed by yet another remake. This classic Warren Beatty version is absolutely the best by far. It is playful, fun, sweet, and offbeat. It is one of my all-time favorites.

I read this book at a supermarket about 34 years ago, the first book i ever read is a great story

I originally saw this movie on cable in the late 70s late at night when I was vacationing at the each as a kid. I loved it then and I love it even more now. Great actors, storyline and music. It is funny and I like the fantasy part where one of Heaven's gate keepers makes a mistake and the big guy's right hand man has to fix it.

There's not many movies that I can recommend to my teenage kids. Believe me- if it's more than 5 years old, it's 'old fashioned'. Sigh. However, like few others, this one stands the test of time- even for me!

I remembered this move very fondly and when I saw it again, I wasn't disappointed at all. Funny and sweet. BTW: What's with iTunes and their release dates? This is a wonderful classic movie from the 70's. Where do they get off saying it was released in 1999???
